Escaped Reality

Writer's picture: Pablo ChaconPablo Chacon

Living in Southern California my entire life, I have always wanted to travel north and visit the Golden Gate Bridge. The farthest I've gone north is Berkeley but it was a quick trip and did not do much.

This past weekend, I was finally able to cross out the Golden Gate Bridge from my bucket list as I went on a road trip with three of my friends. This three day trip was exceptionally great and fun. Between singing for four hours straight in the car to riding rollercoasters on the boardwalk, I always enjoy getting out of my house and escaping reality for a bit. Often times we get overwhelmed by things we have to do and are always in a hurry that we miss opportunities to enjoy our surroundings.

It was fun visiting San Jose, Monterey, San Francisco, and Pacific Grove. I cannot wait to someday go back and experience it all again.

Thanks to my friends for always being down to do spontaneous things and special thanks to my Greek little sis Mel for making this happen!

Summer officially started yesterday and I cannot wait for what adventure is next.

P.S. The Santa Cruz Boardwalk is so lit!
